today finally came for Amos. departing civilian life. i guess in a way Amos has been a big part of the pple close to him. and now his going botak for the nation. something he looked forward to and talked so much about but dread going through right now. becos of the people that he will leave behind. but like the slogan at the tekong jetty it says quite aptly:"its not wat u leave behind but what you will gain in the days ahead" bye Amos, welcome Recruit Goh. and it was heartening to hear him end our conversation on the phone with "hey i've got to go do my quiet time before lights out" cant wait till he POPs. he cant wait to book out. ha.
